SPOILERS (if you haven't seen the announcement yet...)

It seems we have a new Doctor.  I'm a bit saddened from the perspective of being a shameless fan-woman (I'd say girl, but that would definitely be a lie), as Peter Capaldi isn't a pretty boy, I dare say.  If, however, I try to pretend I don't care about such things, then the choice should be interesting!  

What do you think???

Don't throw things at me but......I was more than ready for Matt Smith to depart. ( IMHO David Tennant was the best and will always be my personal favorite of the "new" Doctors.)  Don't get me wrong though, I think Matt was a good Doctor-I even watch the first one or two seasons but I got tired of him fast and tired of Moffat's writing.  Steven Moffat wrote some brilliant stand alone episodes for the 9th and 10th Doctors. "Blink" is still one of my all time favorites but he ruined that by writing  3 more episodes with the Weeping Angels, the worst ever being "The Angels Take Manhattan". UGH!! :shakefist:
Anyway....the new Doctor -Peter Capaldi.  I was a little disappointed at first glance (not a "pretty boy") but I quickly warmed to the idea of an older, more worldly looking Doctor. It's like harkening back to the original series.  I think he will make a welcome change and I am excited for the new Season to begin.
