Wasted Years

This was drawn for the contest put on by 'ShareArt' - "My Worst Nightmare" ([link]). Have to say that the idea of this picture has been rolling around in my head in many forms for a while now. My worst nightmare is that I'll wake up one day, realize that I've wasted my youth on loathing my body and my looks, and what will look back at me is an old woman. A lesson lives in that, I think.

This was drawn with graphite on A4 Bristol paper. I used a
stock photo by SenshiStock [link] as one of my references and used some wonderful photos of elderly women by Diana Alsindy (check out her work at: [link]) for inspiration for the face of the old woman.
